BuildForce, the citb-funded initiative which matches ex-Forces personnel with construction careers, is working with the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation to promote opportunities for service leavers and veterans in the construction industry. Their main role will be to help the many contractors employed rebuilding the Spurs’ White Hart Lane site in north London to identify employment and training opportunities. Some 3000 jobs are expected to be created over the next five years on the stadium and related developments.
Rather than move elsewhere in the borough of Haringey, the new stadium is largely being built on the current site. Construction started in 2016, and the finished stadium will have an estimated capacity of 61,000.
To kick off this new partnership an information and promotion event for service leavers & veterans is being held in the existing stadium on Thursday 27 April, from 11am to 3.30pm. The day will include presentations from the Foundation and various employers, and a tour of the new stadium site.
Please note: this is an invitation-only event and requires registration by 20 April to [email protected] to secure your place.
