Six months after its inaugural event, Ethos celebrates the success of the South West hub through an event at Santander Bank, Exeter on Weds February 10th. Ethos has particularly reason to celebrate in the SW as in a very short time this socially-conscious network has recruited 7 partners and led pieces of work spanning skills, health, cyber security, renewable energy & equality and diversity.
Chris Lorimer who has spearheaded much of the activity in the South West commented, “We are truly delighted that Ethos has captured the imagination of so many people so quickly, although we are not particularly surprised. The feedback we have had is that the truly democratic and collaborative way Ethos operates, with a focus on achieving positive social & environmental outcomes, as well as financial, from its business activities, is counter to the way that many organisations work and people find this really refreshing.”
The new partners have very varied backgrounds and include a senior police officer, a Silicon Valley IT Executive, a health service manager, an environmental consultant and a serial entrepreneur. “The power of Ethos”, Lorimer continued, “is that it can harness the skills of a very diverse range of people and help them address complex issues. Here in the South West, we are really keen to collaborate broadly across public, private and voluntary sectors”.
This event will be a great opportunity to find out more about Ethos, to network with existing and potential partners and to catch up on the progress of individual projects.
