What Ethos Young Leaders means to me
Bailey Thaw
My top skill is creative vision - I have created my own dance style called Comic Bruk. I want to learn how to manage my own creativity - taking my ideas forward logistically with a team of people and connecting the dots between youth organisations and Ethos. I already have a concept and I am working on a presentation for potential investors. I feel like I have a lot of knowledge and skills and I am looking for the best place to use my skills to their maximum potential. For me the challenge is the business side - setting up accounts, invoices, billing, branding, profit and loss spreadsheets. Coming from a completely different background - it's a new language for me but Young Leaders are helping me learn one-to-one. Month 1 The first couple of weeks were a bit rocky and spinny, but after that I realised what was going on and I began to understand the Ethos language and what can be done and how my questions and thoughts can make an impact. Makes me feel like I'm a part of something. I like that flexibility, it's one of the best things - I wanted more structure at the beginning. I've been doing mostly with social media, running facebook and instagram - I've been part of the social media meeting every week. Suzanne set up a meeting and everyone came to listen to my story. And I've been to the finance meetings as well. I've been learning so much. I've recorded the Monday update for Rob - something I've never done before. I am now involved in the Lisa Lashes School of Music "Finding your Why" workshop.
